141 provides an extensive range of organic packaged and bulk foods. Our commitment is to seek out the best products that are non-GMO. We specialize in grass fed meat products and the best organic poultry from purveyors who humanely raise their animals.

We provide a wide variety of wheat-free, gluten-free and other foods designed for those with special dietary needs. In addition, our kitchen serves up unique and delectable vegetarian dishes every day at the hot bar. And our cold case is filled with delicious lunch and dinner entrees, sandwiches, soups and home-baked goods with an assortment of GF and vegan desserts.

Just as Provincetown is known for the love of animals – so are we! The market offers a unique variety of natural and hard-to-find pet food, treats and more.

/   THE KITCHEN

Our philosophy is to bring the highest quality food to our customers every single day. We believe that food should be made with the freshest, seasonal ingredients – and so we serve the very best sustainably raised food possible. Our Kitchen sources organic and local produce whenever available. And the dairy we use is organic and hormone-free. Our respect for the environment and farmers is reflected in every dish we serve.

/   HOT BAR

Our Hot Bar is the only Vegetarian/Vegan Buffet in Provincetown. We take pride in our daily-changing menu. And our love of food is reflected in the wide array of dishes you will find any day of the week – from Thailand, India or Italy. Our Mexican Monday menu draws a weekly crowd. And if you prefer Middle Eastern fare, come for our Falafel Friday. Our falafels – like the hummus and Tahini sauce – are house-made and 100% organic. But if you just want some good, home-cooked comfort food, come and try our irrestible Macaroni and Cheese!

/   ORGANIC JUICE BAR

The Juice Bar at 141 is 100% organic. And all of our juices are made to order. In season, we buy as much produce as we can from the Cape’s local farmers. In addition to our fortifying and cleansing juices, the 141 Organic Juice Bar also makes refreshing and delicious smoothies. We serve up a long list of Nutriboosts that you can add to your favorite Smoothie or Juice – including E3 Live, Vega Protein Powder and other healthy supplements. And the Bar always has a number of Power Shots – wheat grass, ginger, turmeric and more. Add these to your favorite Juice or Smoothie. Or order them on their own, straight up!

/   THE CAFE

Pull up a chair! Our 100-year-old harvest table sets the mood in the 141 Café. The Café is open during store hours in a cozy corner of the Market. In fact, it has become the hub of our “community.” An 18-seat, light-filled space allows you to sit with friends (or make friends!) at the communal table or share an intimate table for 2 or 3. Complimentary WIFI is provided. The Café is a great place to catch up on some correspondence, meet a friend or write the great American novel.

141 TO GO

For healthy meals on-the-go during the summer months, stop by our shop in the West End – 141 TO GO – open from May through September. TO GO features a Yogurt Parfait Bar, Salad Bar, Organic Juice Bar and Bagel Bar, alongside a carefully curated selection of items from the main Market: artisanal cheeses, high-quality chocolates, salads and wraps. Other favorites include our house-made hummus, “eggless” egg salad, pico de gallo and guacamole. We’ve brought some of our best products to the West End, along with our commitment to quality, service and hospitality.

/   YOGURT PARFAIT BAR

Create your own yogurt parfait from our Yogurt Bar. We offer three low-fat Greek yogurts: house-flavored Lemon Honey, house-flavored Maple Vanilla Bean and Plain. Top with a selection of fresh fruit, nuts, berries or our house-made granola! Served until 11a.

/   CREATE-YOUR-OWN SALAD BAR

TO GO offers Provincetown’s only Create-Your-Own Salad Bar. Choose your greens, your favorite veggies, a house-made dressing and add on generous scoops of chicken salad, grilled chicken or other healthy proteins. Served from 11a-6p.

The Bagel Bar features house-baked bagels, and our signature organic, house-flavored cream cheeses which are always stocked in the cold case for take away. Bagel sandwiches are available until 11a (or while they last!).

OUR COMMUNITY & US

Owners, Joe Freitas and Chris Getman lived in New York and Connecticut for most of their lives. And they loved every second of that, but it was time for a change. Having owned a small home in Provincetown for 5 years (that they visited as often as they could!), they realized that Provincetown was becoming more and more like home to them. They loved the art, the food, the friends they had made, and the solitude of the Cape Cod winters. So they began their search for a business that would support them year- round, make use of Chris’ years of retail experience, Joe’s financial background, honor their love of food, and most of all provide them with a way to serve the community they had grown to love.

As it turned out, the one and only health food store in Provincetown was for sale. Building a business plan that incorporated what the old store had to offer along with a blueprint that included many new ideas – a juice bar, a hot bar, prepared foods and a café – they took the plunge and bought the store.

Enlisting the help of their friend and Creative Director, Deb McKeand of Worktable NYC, they turned the store upside down, inside out, and created 141 Bradford Natural Market. With a new store design and purchasing strategy, Joe and Chris wanted to be sure they were creating a place for the year-round locals as well as the visiting summer crowd. In just a few short years, the 141 Market has become the community gathering place they dreamt of building.

At 141, hospitality is more than a commitment – it’s a core value. It’s not something we strive for, it is something we believe in and the way we conduct ourselves and manage our business every day. We couldn’t do it any other way. We value craftsmanship and quality over convenience and cost, and pledge to provide Provincetown and the Cape Cod community with a diverse selection of certified organic, whole foods and safe clean-home products. We are a team of dedicated and knowledgeable individuals eager to share our knowledge and passion with our customers, and to bring the work of talented international and local producers of cheeses, meats, dairy products, produce, jams, honeys, oils and more to the Market. While 141 is most certainly a business, this isn’t about the money. For us, it is more of a mission, and an invitation to join us on the journey we have undertaken to learn about the best food products available and to share that knowledge with our community. 141 Market aims to be a positive force in our neighborhood – and that means following an environmentally responsible business model, providing eating utensils that are eco-friendly, and building an awareness of the sustainability issues facing our local environment and our planet.
